These spring cassettes are specifically made for use with multipoint locks that are sprung but they won't work with non-sprung multipoint handles. You must have a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram). They feature a square cut out that is able to accommodate an 8mm shaft.
